Assuming that you are connecting your MacBook to the router then you already have a WiFi network with SSID (visible or not) and you just need to connect the printer to existing network. Go to menu on the printer to network configuration and join your network providing keyphrase/password if needed (WEP/WPA)

HP Photosmart C4780 and Acer Aspire fight over web-based printing!

Try hard-wiring your laptop to the router with an ethernet cable as a test and then try printing, if you do not loose connection to the internet then the problem is probably that the printing is hogging your wireless bandwidth.
If the same thing happens with loosing connection to the internet try connecting to the internet real quick through another computer that is hardwired, you want to find out if the problem is a wireless one or that affects wired computers also. You might need a driver upgrade, you also might need to upgrade the firmware of the router

I have a T-Mobile air card an HP desk jet j4660 printer and a Toshiba thrive tablet...I want to sync the 3 so I can print using my tablet...let me also say I have a MacBook that I would also like to print...

As far as I know, wireless aircards can only acommodate 1 device, I think that is included on the terms and conditions on the T-Mobile contract for that aircard. If you really want to use your printer, you need to have a hardwired connection of your printer to a PC using USB cable. Since your using a Toshiba tablet i think you cannot use your printer on that one as well because you won't be able to install the disk driver of your HP printer since the tablet doesn't have any CD Drive. But you can install it on your MacBook but then again you can only do a hardwired connection of your printer to the MacBook and not wireless.

I have a CISCO Basic Wireless Router. Can this particular Router be connected to an HP Photosmart wireless printer? There is no WPS easy button on the router.

The router is capable of at least Wireless B (11MB) and possibly Wireless G (54MB) or Wireless N standard speeds. The HP Photosmart will do at least Wireless B speeds (and depending on which model - even possibly the faster "G" or "N" standards, too), so yes; it can be connected wirelessly.

You'll have to set up the the HP Photosmart printer the same way you set up other wireless devices to connect to the router. You'll need to input the SSID, Security Encryption Type (WEP or WPA) and associated security "Key" to match those settings that are in the router.

If you can't remember those settings, or never set up the wireless options, you'll have to access the Cisco Router's built in web set up page. Since you didn't include your particular model number, you'll have to look up this info at Cisco's web site yourself.

If you have trouble, include the model of your router and I'll see what additional info I can get for you.

Cannot connect my laptop to wireless

Your wireless printer might frequently lose its communication with the computer and hence might not print all the documents when you want. Such an issue arises when there is interference in the wireless signals between the printer and the computer. This could be caused by any other wireless device kept in the vicinity of your printer like a cordless phone. Keep all other wireless devices way from the printer set-up to tackle this issue. Also bear in mind that if your system is turned on for hibernation mode then it would disconnect your printer the moment it goes into hibernation. get more help http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-All-in-One-Install-and/HP-Photosmart-C4780-Wireless-Printing/m-p/320321#M19172

I can't connect my wireless printer. Hp spent 4 hrs on the phone with me today and all we can figure is the router is blocking it. I also get a error box for "Internet Connect"; 'cannot find communication...

Check out this video. You didn't specify which machine has the error box, or if both of them do. I would start with the desktop machine with Windows, and try to get that one working....work with one computer at a time. You may have to have someone remote connect to your computer to help you get it going...but the video is pretty good. It's a different model wireless HP printer, but the instructions are mostly the same. Just the software you download is different.
