If it is not an old lamp which usually will go gradually, check the DB9 connector from the scanner lid to the bottom of the unit. Disconnect and reconnect and this may solve the "Yellow" background problem. The computer is not receiving all the color information if one or more of the pins in the connector are not making good contact. The yellow usually is because there is no "blue" information. This may help correct other color cast problems which appear suddenly after previous proper operation.

Yes, as the lamp ages, the colour temperature starts to slip, which will give a yellowed effect on the light output. Just like a flourescent tube in the home starts to yellow with age, whereas a new one is a lot more white.

What size bulb goes in the oven

Seems that regular bulbs really don't like the high heat or getting splattered with cooking juices, shatter at the first contact with liquid. Think you better spend the couple of extra $$$ and not have to clean up a shattered glass mess in your oven.

On the front of my 50 inch tv the yellow bulb light flashes.i pulled the bulb and it seems ok

It's probably telling you that your bulb is nearing the end of its life. (At least it's doing its job -- half the time these things give you no warning at all.) So buy a replacement bulb for the day when the old one dies. You can turn off the annoying light by going into your set's menu and telling it you've just replaced the bulb. Be sure to do that again when the bulb actually dies and you replace it, so it doesn't give you a very early warning next time.

What kind of bulbs should I use in my photography light box?

The type of bulbs you use is not very important, as long as the light is evenly distributed throughout the box. In keeping the lighting consistent, it is most important to use the same temperature lights, otherwise you will get weird colors.

Monitor Problems

A pink or red tint indicated that florescent back light bulbs that light up the monitor are going out. When they start to die they out out red or pink light instead of white light like they should. They bulbs are replaceable but not easy for someone not familiar with this type of repair. Parts would run about $30 plus shipping and are available online but it may not be worth the repair on the monitor due to age.

The color on my tv is turning green. It's not totally green but it's becoming green. No matter how I adjust the colors it remains the same with too much green. You can't see the true colors...

It is very common for the color of the lamp to change as it nears the end of it's life. Depending on the bulb itself you may see yellow, green, or blue shifts (I have even seen red/orange). This is due to the diminishing output of the bulb and while you can make some adjustment you will eventually hit the point of failure. The bulb could in fact last several more weeks or even months depending on your use and environment. It is probably a good time to start searching for a replacement now so you can replace it as soon as it dies or just replace it now if the color is too bad to be worthwhile.

Is hard for me to see at night the headlights doesn't iluminate that much no more what can i do?

Your vehicle is equipped with composite headlights. That means that they are made out of plastic. The bulbs are replaceable. You can access the bulbs from under the hood. Most likely, your headlight lenses have become frosted with age. If that is the case, here is how to make them clear again: Get a sheet of 2000 grit wet or dry sandpaper at any auto parts store. soak the sandpaper in warm water for about 10 minutes to soften it up a little. Now cut the sheet of sandpaper into approximately 4inch by 4inch sheets. Take one sheet and fold it in half. You will use this sheet to sand your headlight lenses. making sure that the lense and the sandpaper stays wet, lightly sand the entire lense until it begins to clear up and become smooth. When it reaches that stage, you will need to use a good automotive rubbing compound and a dry cloth and buff out all the sandpaper scratches. I've done this many times with excellent results. The headlight won't be good as new, but it will be much brighter. There are products on the market made just for this purpose, but they are pricey. Also, the halogen bulbs inside your headlights will become yellow with age. It's a slow process so most people don';t realize how dim their lights have become. New halogen bulbs will make a dramatic improvement now that your lenses are clear again.

Acer AL 1715 monitor flashes 2x and dies

LCD panels use cold-cathode fluorescent bulbs to make the light necessary for them to show images. What you're describing is something I've seen in panels where the bulbs were dying or dead. it's also possible that the controller for the bulbs is also on the fritz.
