Question about Kenwood VR-605 Receiver
Bought VR 605 on ebay. Seller said reciever worked when shipped.I unpacked and plugged it in, but only the standby light comes on. Nothing else lights and no sound production. Is there a fuse that could be blown, something else I'm overlooking or should I just return?
HI, this amp may need to be reset. also, i would check the voltage selector on the back side to make sure the switch is set to 110-120v. once this is done, you will need to reset the microcomputer. here is the procedure.
The microcomputer may malfunction (unit cannot be operated,
or shows an erroneous display) if the power cord is unplugged
while the power is ON, or due to some other external factor. If
this happens, execute the following procedure to reset the
microcomputer and return the unit to its normal operating
Procedure- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet, then
plug it back in while holding down the POWER key.
ok, after this reset, if your receiver isn't operational, it may have serious damage to its power board.
