Question about Transceivers

Open Question

I lost the tube of 6EJ7 (or eq. EL 184??). where can I get it?? what shops in ur country??It's been already in the box for more than 20 years, and now if I turn in on, the high tension directly connected to the final tubes. I've tried to disconnect one relay, however HT still on. There are two other relays.should I release those two relays?? Thank you.

Can not get any stations after scanning as finished have tried all the basic things the model is TOSUMI TOMST B01 It was working OK up to the switch over to digital in my area then nothing

This is unfortunately becoming a major issue in many countries switching over to full digital and has NO SOLUTION apart from buying an new box in general!

Operating or tech manual/or/ switch functions

well I also lost the little tag plate.
Left indeed is a keyborad lock.
On my FTC-1903 the middel and right toggle switch does not seem to have any effect.

The middel one switches between "busy - manual - ...?..." and the right one between "USA-International". I guess the right one switches to a preset order of channel allocation, different for USA or other countries.

On mine swicthing middel or roght switch does not seem to give any effect.
So I would like to open up the set but would like to do so with the help of a schematic drawing.

Any source to find that?

Bought the converter box for my tv ,... only get 2 plus channels

Yes, make sure you get that antenna up as high as you can with masts. Some places will offer installation when you purchase the antenna set up (although it usually is pricey), I know RadioShack will. I might suggest instead of getting a professional installer, post an add on www.craigslist.com, college kids will do nearly anything for a 24 pack of beer or a few dollars for gas!! :-) Good luck!

Is the Kenwood TS680S a solid state transceiver?

solid state means transistors or ics but no tubes, if it has tubes it will have air holes in the case where you can see the tubes light up when it is on.Im pretty sure its a solid state rig unless it is really old as most are now solid states and have been for years.

Laser writer select 360 to Mac OS X 10.4.11 via AsanteTalk

You should phone the Asante tech support people in San Jose, CA, who will talk you through the fix for free. I lost my printer-MacPro connection, the other day, and everything works fine now, thanks to their advice.

I'm running 10.5.x and no WiFi so the fix may not be the same, but it was just a matter of sort of re-booting the Asante box. Here was my fix, if that helps:
1. Delete that printer from your list of printers in System Preferences.
2. Make sure your computer, printer, and Asante box are all hooked up together and turned on.
3. Click + under the list of printers in System Preferences.
4. Click AppleTalk icon in top row of dialogue box that appears.
5. After a moment, click Bluetooth icon instead.
6. After a moment, unplug the power cord from your Asante box (but not from the electrical outlet).
7. After a moment, re-plug the power cord into your Asante box and, as soon as possible after the "TX" light comes on, click the AppleTalk icon again.
8. Within a few moments, your printer's name should appear. Highlight its name, then make sure all the information about it that appears is correct, then click "Add."
9. Everything should communicate beautifully. I had no further problems.

Problem with a Kenwood TS 2000 Amateur Radio Transceiver

73s I have heard of similar problems and some were heating related. the best is to check if your rig is heating up causing it to switch off and lose memory when switched back on. I have a buddy who had an unusual experience where he actually dropped frequencies so low that he could pick up ordinary radio frequency and also go into bands like 27mhz and 25mhz. But once switched off, the rig worked normal again. If you are experiencing heat problems then i suggest you put in a fan and remove all dust from inside the rig. You could probably also be having problems with power supply either internal or external. If all else fails, refer to a good repair shop this type of radios are very sensitive.

Power connection for L365 Fish finder

Fuses and Breakers
Attach the red or positive wire to a 5 amp circuit breaker. If the unit is connected directly to the boat’s battery, include a 2 amp in-line fuse. (In-line fuses are available at most marine supply stores.) The power cable includes a smaller "shield" wire. Connect this to a good ground.

compactff.gif
Extending the Power Cable
If you need to extend the power wiring by more than 10 feet, use a larger wire size. This will allow the wires to deliver the correct voltage in spite of the longer wire distance. For runs of 20 to 35 feet, use #14 AWG cable. If you extend the power wiring, be sure all electrical connections are solid and durable. Soldering is the best way to make these connections. Insulate all connections using heat-shrink tubing or electrical tape. You may also use crimp connectors or a terminal strip, but be sure to use good-quality marine-grade parts.
