Anyone know of a portable with digital out ?

I'm trying to find a portable minidisc recorder with a digital out and a
line in available in the UK. If anyone knows of a model I'd be grateful for
further details - model, supplier etc.

All the 2nd (or is it 3rd) generation Sharp-manufactured portables had
digital out (M20/25 and their counterparts; e.g. the Denon R30, etc).

My classic MZ-1 from 1992 has a optical digital output.

The only one I'm aware of is the old Sony MZ-R1.

I think that the base station portion of the MZ-R5ST
has a digital out. The portable unit only has mic in
and headphone out - no line in or out and no digital
in or out. It is also JPY 65,000, which places it in
close price competition with other desirable options
like purchasing both a JE520 and an R50 or somesuch.
It still appears that no portable has a digital out.
