Question about Samsung SyncMaster 910T-Black 19" LCD Flat Panel Monitor
I have a Samsung monitor hooked up to a Dell Dimension 8300. The monitor has begun showing lines through the screen, sometimes so many the features are hard to view, and at other times, the lines are minimal.
Have tried to change the graphics board in the pc, thinking this is the problem but the lines have reappeared. Is a new monitor in the near future or a new pc???
It may have one of reasons:
1. "Dirty" supplying voltage in the monitor - check all electrolytic capacitor.
2. Bad controller chip - check if it gets extremely hot when working, also you may see darkened area on other side of the PCB where that chip is located.
3. Loosed connection between controller PCB and the display itself - disconnect the cable and clean contacts, especially of blade connector on display side, check if there are some overpressed contacts.
