M50 SCREEN TOTAL BLACKOUT

The night before this happened the laptop is working perfectly fine. but when i turned on my laptop the next day, the screen was in total black out. i tried to reboot but the same thing happened.

i also tried to remove the battery out for few minutes then placed it back, when i tried turning it on i heard the sound that it is actually ON but the screen is still in total black out, and there is no display.

this happened months ago, i did the same thing and it worked, the laptop was still in good shape. but this time it is not working anymore. what seems to be the problem?

Can't get my Dell Precision M50 Laptop video to fill the screen at 1024 768 resolution. Video will only fill the screen when I set resolution to 1600 1200. Is there something wrong with my video card?

1024x768 is a native wide-screen resolution. more than likely your video card is fine and your notebook monitor does not support that format without shrinking the top and bottom which defeats the purpose of filling the whole screen. plug the kappy into an external widescreen monitor or TV and it will work at 1024x768.

Black Screen at full brightness

It sounds like your backlight or inverter is failing, and soon you won't be able to see a picture on any setting. This is common for LCD screens over time, they start out with the occasional blackout and then progressively get worse. You can take it to be repaired, but the cost severely outweighs the cost of purchasing a new laptop.

I turned the my toshiba M50 last night. the next morning i was trying to turn it on, but it was just a black screen. i can hear the sound that it actually turned on but the screen is just black and no any...

If you see a dim image on the LCD screen it means you have a backlight problem.
Connect an external monitor to the laptop and power it up, if you see a clear image on an external monitor, this means your video card is OK.

Dim image and/or dark display on the laptop's LCD screen indicates a faulty LCD backlight and it could be the inverter that supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp or it is the CCLF lamp is nearly burnt out or burnt out, most likely this is the case.
The inverter can be replaced easily but the CCLF lamp is more time consuming and requires soldering skills.

Screen is complete blackout when I turn on my hp compaq c6000

You either have a screen that has gone and needs to be replaced or a cheaper fix and usually a more likely one is that the inverter in the screen has gone out. The inverter is quite cheap, around $34.00. Try it

Black screen on Acer 5100, but will work with external monitor

It sounds like the control board or cable for the LCD may be damaged. If you're still under warranty, you'll need to send it back to Acer to be repaired.
