Question about InFocus LP130 Replacement Projector Lamp - SP-LAMP-LP1 Projector Lamp

1 Answer

InFocus LP130 Projector has intermittent power off

I have an InFocus LP130 Projector and it keeps powering off after several minutes of running. I bought it used so I don't know the actual hours on the lamp. Sometimes the projector will run for hours and sometimes it will only run for a few minutes. Should I think about replacing the lamp or could there be another issue?

Go into the menu to find out the lamp hours. it could be the lamp, but if the projector shuts down and not just the lamp, there is either an overheating issue, or a power supply issue.

Infocus LP130, Bulb fires then goes out

there is a problem with the power to the front fan from the main board. there are 3 wires going to the fans: one power, one return, and one signal. if the main board reads no signal from the fan's speed, it'll shut down. check the power going to the fans and the signal. you may need to replace the main board.

Have you tried another lamp? Sometimes thats your problem, but I've seen a several occasions that the a defective power supply causes this symptom. Do you see an image flicker before the projector shutsdown? I do have some spare parts for this projector.

I'm on Ebay - gtitubro if you want to contact me through there.
