hi, The easiest way to recover your admin password in windows is to restart
in safe mode (keep F8 pressed at startup) and log in as administartor
(default administartor user that only shows at safe mode startup with -
usually- no password). then you go to control panel and reset the
password on your normal admin account. restart in normal mode and you
are done. if that doesn´t work there are various password recovery
applications you can download and use :
-- Reset Admin Password to Blank. Access XP/2000/NT/2003/Server
try tapping F8 when you turn on the system on the blue Dell logo, goto safe mode or safe mode with networking, log in as administartor,if you have'nt setup a password for administartor then click on OK without putting in the password,it will log you in,remove the password from your user account
try loading or running another copy of Vista on the hard drive, this will overwrite the former but don't format the drive. this will copy ur work into a folder called "window.old", when you are through, go to this folder and transfer ownership of the folse, subfolder into the new administrator. this will not open the files until you click on the properties of every files, goto security, change the owenership to the new administartor, then allows ful acess to the file. NOTE, Installing new Vista program automatically overwrite old adminstartor, but not the files in it. Good luck
