The only solution for this is to contact the customer support of xbox. First, you have to provide your account information so that they will be able to verify that it really is yours, then they will be forwarding the call to their supervisor who will be informing you about the next step. There is no work around here but for you to contact them. - 18004myxbox

If your account is still on the system, just go to the account management part of the dashboard and it will provide you the email address of that account, but of course, not the password since you have to enter it. Seeing your email there, then you could actually try doing a password reset by going to login.live.com.

I want to use an old gamer tag on a different xbox 360

if you still have your account that's good. First you need to go to where is it says sign in or sign out and then there is another one that says down load and that's where you have to go there and put your user name and password and other question and if an error pops up its because you made a mistake on your question or password

Gamer tag and account was stolen. Worked with Microsoft, they froze the account, investigated, sent an e-mail with a password to start process to recover gamer tag. Went into Windows Live & changed...

This may be a problem related to your account being stolen. Your best bets are contacting Xbox Support again. They should have the solution. You can probably try reseting you password again, then try again, but other than that, my bets are on the first solution. Good luck, and I hope you resolve your issue.

Could you tell me in steps how to conect to xbox live

Step 1 Form your Xbox 360 you need to be connected to the Internet by a straight LAN line or wirelessly. You can test you connection by going to the setting screen on your Xbox 360.
  • Step 2 Once connected to the Internet for your Xbox 360 go to your main account screen and find the tab that says "Join Xbox LIVE" click on that link then follow the simple instructions that the Xbox LIVE will provide. At this point you should have a name in mind for your gamer tag.
  • Step 3 Xbox 360 LIVE has several different options available for memberships. They are a monthly, 3-month and 12-month membership accounts. I would recommend a simple one month account if you just wanted to check out the features offered on XBOX 360 LIVE. If your an avid gamer and love to play games online with friends, the 12-month Gold membership is the way to go.
  • Step 4 Once you've completed the process of joining Xbox 360 LIVE, they will send you a confirmation email confirming your membership. Now you can log on to Xbox 360 LIVE and start doing this like customizing your avatar and playing online multi-player games.

Follow the directions on the screen, and you should be back in the game in no time....if you had a passcode you will need to set it back up but all your achievements, etc will still be there.
