When I power up the error light flashes once per second. No other lights are on. There is no paper jam. The drum is seated properly. There are no documents in queue.
I hope this helps you...and I'm sure you have the software installed but if not you may want to install it ...if you do have it installed and no specific error code such as 17h, or 14 etc...appears, your problem may be one that does not have an assigned error code. However, the problems inherent in these units is that there is a lot of toner dust that accumulates over time and coats specific sensors thereby leading to what is called false positives or just incorrect readings period. So when you are cleaning the sensors...be careful to use a clean dry cloth or more preferably use compressed air ...such as the same material used to clean keyboards..it can be purchased at any computer store or Wal-mart. Just pray the sensors..and there is a reader board under the toner cartridge assembly that you can clean also.
Install the software (on CD or download from Konica) check the status display on the screen. It should tell you what the error # is Possibly toner dust on the cartridge chips and also the small square sensor to the right when the transfer drum is removed (take care you do not damage the sensor touch pins).
Good luck and I hope this helps.......The, fang
I found that a cartridge chip was loose, once tightened all was well.

o Under PDF Documents Owner's Manual(English) (.pdf) (1.33 MB) shows very little about the indicator lights.
o Under HTML Documents User's Guide shows more information about the indicator lights but mentions nothing about the secondary error codes.

I blew the inside of the printer out with compressed air and replaced the drum. Now the error light continues to blink
Thanks for replies.
I cleaned everything I could find, wiped it, used canned air, etc. No joy. Now I am hoping to be able to get the toners out for use in the 2500W I bought--but the carousel rotation doesn't work, so I am thinking I may have to resort to the Big Hammer or the Two-By-Four, tools every technology user must keep handy. However, if there is a fool-proof and gentle way of getting those toners out manually, I am all attention. I do have a HEPA vac from my years in asbestos hazard control, but I'd prefer not to have toner ankle deep in my office, not to mention the prospect of inhaling it. (Imagine how colorful my X-rays would be. . .)
