Water fills machine but won't shutoff

ekrok, you are going to have to change the fill valve. If water is still filling when the unit is unplugged, that means the valve is stuck open. This is not a hard fix. You will have to remove the screws on the top in back. Should be three. If this is a GE you will have to remove the front header. Three screws in back of the front header. Now the top will slide off toward the back The valve is easy to get at. Get your part at a local appiance parts store or order it from repairclinic.com.
