Do you get an indication on the display where the point of failure might be? It would show up on the LCD speaker diagrams just before shutting off. If not, then you will need to replace capacitor.

Did a RESET but same situation. please advice next step. local repair shop suggesting that some 'IC for sound is gone and charging a bomb for replacement. Please advice.
had this with an LG unit. Repairer told me the overheat sensor was shutting down unit. so he added extra heat dispersal copper plates to the inside and charged me £50.
chayni_richa hello I have the same problem with the Harman Kardon AVR 7000 is off to the moment that I turn it on, you've been able to solve it? please tell me things [email protected] thanks
It sounds like an overload/no load problem. Are ALL the speakers connected? to the right places? If the amplifier section doesnt "See" what it needs, it will shut off. If all connections are good and it shuts off still take it to a tech who knows stereo. Doesnt have to be an authorized HK guy either
Your drawing to many watts from the unit and its shutting down. Make sure the -/+ are set properly for the speakers. Also the power amp inside the unit could be bad and the relay trips off. Plug straight into the wall and don't go through a powerstrip. Is anything else connected to the receiver?
