Question about Apple iPhone Smartphone
IPHONE got wet and touch screen will not work
If there is water damage, your warranty/insurance does not cover it. You cannot lie about it because the Iphone has a water damage indicator on it that will let them know.
You will have to pay to have it repaired. I am sorry about your mishap, and thank you for choosing Fixya!

If you bring it to the apple store, they will basically replace the phone for you for a charge of up to $200.
That is there basic response to iphones that has gotten wet...
If they determine it is another defect not associated with getting wet, and the item is still under warranty, they may replace it at no charge.
NOTE: Others online have tried the following: turn off phone and leave it off. place it in a ziplock bag and fill the bag with rice. Seal it and leave it in there for at least 48 hours)... the rice will absorb all existing moisture out. After the 48 hours, try to power on the phone and check to see if everything works. Note: Be sure to blow out any rice that my get into the crevices... (see video: http://www.instructables.com/id/Fix_Your_Ipod_or_You_Iphone_if_you_get_it_wet/
Hope this helps. Let me know how it all turns out.
