Question about Canon PIXMA iP6700D InkJet Photo Printer
The printer is always telling me that it doesn't recognize the Photo Cyan cartridge. I re-install it and the problem stays, the cartridge is not empty.
Best thing to do is just replace the the indicated ink cartridge. Reason being is that even though the cartridge still has ink in it, it is the metal contacts on the cartridge that have to communicate with the printers on-board memory. If the contacts on the cartridge are fouled and are not communicating with the printer, the cartridge is telling the printer that "I am empty and I need to be replaced", even if it is full of ink. This would apply to all six cartridges.
