Question about Plumbing
When shower is turned on water is coming out where handle is. Moen shower faucet leaks from deverter, have new part # 116719 but don't know how to remove defective one
Is this the single handle model? if so simply remove handle, plate, then pull the clip out with a pair of needle nose (after turning main water off).
the valve assembly will pull staright out with moderate force. sounds like one of the small o rings got pinched so it may take a good pull.
make sure to look inside valve housing for foriegn debre. clean it out good. i like to turn the water on for a few seconds before i put the new valve in to blow out any stuff that might cause problems.
