If this is a fairly new computer, it may be that you just need to activate windows. Connect to the internet then go to: start>accessories>system tools> activate windows and click it.
Then let the Windows Product Activation wizard run.
If that doesn't work, go to www.google.com and type in "microsoft genuine advantage diagnostic tool" download and run it. If it shows not genuine, click on "resolve." (must be connected to the internet.)
Also, you can go to the Windows Update site and download all the updates (one of those will be Windows genuine advantage.)
You can also call Microsoft.
