Question about HP Compaq nx6110 PC Laptop
I have a laptop from my old company which I cannot access. When I turn it on it asks for a user name and password, which i dont have. I also dont have administrator priveleges.
Can I unlock the laptop myself and access the already installed XP or do i need to take it to a professional??
It depends on the login type.
Most company laptop are connected to the company's network and the user login is into their network. If it is only a Windows user login then this can be reset with a password recovery program, its not available to the average user.
The best bet is to reinstall Windows, this will wipe clean the hard disk and give you a laptop with a fresh clean Windows XP installation which will give you less problems.
You can do it yourself, if not get a computer savy friend to help you.
