While registering my nuvi 205t on the website it recomended that i update my os i downloaded it only to find my 205 screen is frozen with this message "loader loading" its been that way for the last hour and i cant seem to reset it HELP
An hour is way too long. This should only come up for about 15 seconds. This could have happened if you didn't select to "safely remove" the Nuvi from your PC. It's possible that the firmware update was corrupted.
You need to download Garmin's webupdater and reflash the firmware. if you don't know how to do this please contact me.

There is a reset button on the bottom, just push it in with ur fingernail. it resets ur settings but it saves ur favorites and preset locations. i had the same problem.

After registering the garmin nuvi, you will be able to download free maps. Depending on the type of map you want to download. Registration is free and garmin nuvi do not charge you for any map you update. Update is absolutely free.
you might have to register on the website before downloading..its been awhile since i did an update, but the to web updater is very easy to use, just download it and install it on your computer then run it to check for updates. just follow the on screen instructions.

Registration is done on line at the Garmin website. You have to plug your Nuvi into your computer to do this. Caution when I did this the first time it wiped out my OS and I had to contact Garmin to restore the system.
