I hated that happened to you but I hope that you have insurance on it. Anyway for the stickiness very lightly damp a  Q-tip or the tip of a towel and rub against the buttons that are sticky. Use water and a very small drop of rubbing alcohol. Now for the warning signal maybe just leave the phone alone for several hours or days and then test it later or open the phone take the battery out and see if it looks like the soda had gotten down in the phone . If it doesn't it might have a good chance of coming back on but if it does place the phone in a draining position so that the remainder of the soda can drain on a cloth or something. Please do not use a blow dryer if it is still wet because it might make it worse that what it is. But even though i don't recommend it if you want to try it hold the blow dryer back a few inches and move the phone in different positions as you do it. If all these fail (I'm not an expert) call customer service.

You can try to open and clean it yourself, there is a T-Mobile G1 Repair Guide. Once you have it open try to brush the residue of the liquid damage off the affected parts. If that doesn't help replace those parts , they are ususally available on Ebay. If all else fails there are third party T-Mobile G1 Repair Services but that can be quite pricey.

A bottle of water exploded in my bag and my ds lite got wet too and now it wont turn on or charge

From what I read online to people that had a DS get wet was remove the battery.... Place the DS in a ziplock bag full of rice. I guess the rices will absorb the moisture left in the unit.. I don't know if this will work ... but it is worth a try.. Most people felt that you needed to leave it in the bag for at least 3-4 days or up to a week.... hope it helps

I got my iDog from a friend. I took the batteries out and there was a weird white powder. I put new energizer batteries in and it won't turn on. What do I do?

It sounds like the battery leaked. First, disolve some baking soda in water and carefully and as dry as possible, wipe out as much or all of the residue. Attempt after a few hours of drying to re-insert fresh new batteries and see if it turns on. If not, I would save the leaked batteries in a baggie and contact the battery manufacturer via carrier mail and explain that the batteries leaked in your device and it will no longer work and you would appreciate either a repair or replace. Most times if you have the bad batteries and mail them in also, they will either reimburse you for the product if they are not able to repair it. I know this has worked for energizer and rayovac batteries. Be civil and professional in the letter and I bet you get some resolution. Good Luck and hope this works for you. Actually, before cleaning the product, you should probably contact the battery company first if possible so the proof is still in the iDog. Good luck

Phone got wet.

You will need to completely pull the phone apart and soak it in a solution that is no less that 99.00% Isopropanol. If you are having troubles finding a sleaner like this just try googling the company Techspray. They make a solution that works pretty well. Once you have it soaked pull it out and take a toothbrush to it to remove any oxidation that may still remain. Before you put the phone back together use a blowdryer on it to make sure all the solution has dried. If this doesn't work you may just have top purchase a new phone or if you have insurance make a claim with them.

Fizzy dr. pepper in my casio sy-20

Stewart!!! didn't I tell you not to carry that thing around in your bag?! I told you you'll end up breaking it! and now you had to be smart and shake a can of Dr. Pepper around with it!!! Ahem, sorry, don't know what came over me, turned into your mum there for a second ;] Too bad no one answered you any sooner. The longer you leave it, the more damage it gets. Sweet drinks are not good for electronics. You should take it apart and clean the internal parts one by one with distilled water, clean the sticky drink out, and let it dry. If you don't trust yourself with it take it to a lab to work on. Just bear in mind that most chances it's damaged, and won't come back to life with out replacing some parts, so you might as well take it to a lab in the first place. Also, if you tried turning it on after it got wet you didnt do it any good, you just tried to run current through a device soaked in sweet water and screwed it some more. Sorry kid, better luck next time ;]
