How to remove error 0x80010108

Go to Start, run, type "sfc/scannow" within the command and follow the on-screen steps to go. This will automatically check and replace the missing, broken, corrupt system files. See if this fixes the problem.

If not, the problem generally lies with Windows Live Essentials. Goto the Control Panel, Add and Remove programs or Programs and Features: then locate and remove/uninstall Windows Live Essentials.

Everytime i start my computer.. there is always a window on the upper left that says: setting up personalized settings,Configuring Microsoft Windows Mail 7 in Vista?that is why i have to again reinstall...

Windows Mail is part of the windows live essentials update pack. If you do not use the features of this pack the easiest solution is to remove this update and not show it again. If you do that the Windows Mail configuration should no longer appear. If you do use the features of Windows Live essentials then just configuring the mail correctly should stop it from trying to configure every time you boot.

To remove the update: go to control panel>add or remove programs> on the left side look for view installed updates> click then click windows live essentials and uninstall at the top

Hope this helps

Using windows live mail 2011, build 15.4.3508.1109, it fails to open (only) some mails already present in the inbox, suggests to try again..

Hello Tony,
Which version of Windows OS are you using? XP...? This version is not for XP OS & below.

Take a look at Windows Live Essentials 2011 system requirements & Windows live mail 2011 is an intergral part of Windows Live Essentials 2011.

How to instal outlook express?

Outlook express only comes with windows xp and earlyer windows versions.
However in windows vista microsoft did replace outlook express with windows mail and
in windows 7 they left it completely out of the package.
In windows 7 you'll have to install windows mail from the windows live essentials package, wich is free to download.
Outlook express can't be installed on windows vista and 7, use windows mail instead.

Is this happening on a windows 7 machine? It may be a problem with Windows Live Essentials, which for some reason must be corrupt or something. You can go to Control Panel ->Programs -> Uninstall a Program, and try Repairing or Re-installing the Windows Live Essentials program. I've known someone else with this problem who did this and found upon restarting the machine the error message was gone.

I just want to download outlook express and use that for e-mail. Which program should I use?

Outlook Express is a part of every windows operating system except Windows Vista (Uses Windows Mail) and Windows 7 (no Email client part of the operating system you can download Windows Live Mail)
If you are using XP or an older version of windows and outlook express is not installed, you can install it from add/remove programs, Windows Options.
If you have vista, then install Windows Mail from Programs and Features
If you have 7 the download Mail from windows live essentials :

I am assuming you are referring to the entry in the Programs and Features applet (or Add/Remove Programs applet depending on OS). With Vista, double-clickiing on the entry should pop up a UAC prompt. Clock 'Continue,' then continue with your changes/uninstall. Same thing should apply to XP (without the UAC prompt). If it doesn't work, go to http://home.live.com and reinstall/upgrade/change from there.
