Please explain what these buttons are for, but you should probably have the repair shop fix the problem.

Sounds like the screen itself is broken. No way to know unless you take it to a repair shop. But try this, plug the LP into another monitor and see if it opens, if it dose then your screen in your LP is broken. Use the Blue plug in, on the LP and just open it. If you can't do this then yes you do have problem. Take to repair shop.

I gave my sahara AL 096 laptop for repairing but the shopkeeper put the BIOS start up password in that and asking money for opening it, I tried to open laptop cabinet for reattaching the CMOS battery to...

I am afraid it is not possible to reset bios in a laptop you will have either pay the money to shopkeeper or send it to the maufacturer rto have it reset. desktops are easier but laptops are designed this way so that when it is stolen or lost it can not be reset.

My computer screen continuously turns black and the only way to get it back to normal is to press the little rubber button near the power button. After it returns to normal, it turns black within 5...

I think the little rubber button must be the one in the lower corner of the plastic face that goes around the screen? If so you have one of several problems.

1. That little rubber button is a screw cover and it conceals a small Phillips head screw that may be loose and shorting the wire that carries the signal to your screen. Gently pry out the little button and carefully tighten the screw.

2. If that doesn't solve your problem, here is the first of the further possibilities. A little panel behind that same screen border of plastic (it called the "bezel") named the "inverter" has a loose plug or is wearing out.

3. The LCD (screen) has a plug attached to the wire that runs by the screw behind the bumper which is loose inside where it plugs into the motherboard.

These problems need to be checked by someone very familiar with taking apart and repairing laptops. But at least now, you know what the problem might be and can talk to a repair guy about it and not get taken advantage of.

Best of Luck!

The on button on my Toshiba laptop is beginning to not work (I'm lucky to be able to get it to turn on.) Can a repair tech replace that button so I don't have to worry that I won't be able to start my...

If your laptop is out of warranty, you should look for a repair service that will charge you only for the replacement of the button (which involves quite a lot of work, to be honest, so it won't be extremely cheap), and not a repair shop that will tell you that they don't care which part is actually broken, and just replace the whole motherboard, which will cost you half the price of the laptop.
If the computer is still under warranty, then you are good, because it's not your problem if the service will replace the button or the whole board inside :)
Good luck :)
