Yahoo Mail is a Web-based email program that is provided for
free by Yahoo.
Anyone can sign up for the service to send and receive
emails from friends and family.
Yahoo places restrictions on the size and type of
attachments that can be sent and received when using Yahoo Mail.
Any email attachment that contains a virus, is too large or
doesn't meet the file type requirements may be blocked by Yahoo. Virus Scanner
Yahoo Mail scans each attachment that arrives or departs
from your inbox with Norton AntiVirus.
If the virus scanning software detects a virus within an
attachment, Yahoo will warn you and attempt to clean it.
Yahoo does not promise that every virus will be detected or
cleaned by the Norton AntiVirus software.
Only accept attachments from people you know and trust.
Don't attempt to open blocked attachments if it is known to

Multiple attachments that exceed 25 megabytes will also be
blocked by Yahoo Mail.
Once your attachments reach 25 megabytes, you will no longer
be able to add any additional attachments.
If you have many attachments to send that exceed 25
megabytes, send several emails to send all of the attachments.
If you are receiving attachments, let the sender know that
you are unable to receive any attachments larger than 25 megabytes. Slow Connection Speed
It may appear that Yahoo is blocking your attachments if you
have a slow dial-up connection because they may never appear to load.
Yahoo isn't actually blocking the attachment, the connection
is just very slow.
A 25 megabyte file could take over an hour to download with
a 56K dial-up connection.
Your computer may go to sleep or the download may be even
slower if you surf the Web while your files upload. File Type
Only certain file types can be sent using Yahoo Mail.
Yahoo Mail allows you to add audio files, images, HTML
files, word processing documents, spreadsheets and many other types of files as
Some documents are not supported, but you can

There are two main theme in yahoomail, one is "Classic" and the other is "All New Mail"
To attach file/photo from classic, Click new or compose and look carefully just below the "subject" bar, there you'll see a button "Attach File", to attach file, click on the button, browse the file and follow the instructions.
Similar procedures for the "All New Mail", the difference is only the "attach file" button location, after you've opened the compose or new, look at the top columns, you'll see, "Send" "Attach" etc,, just above the "To" box.

When you have a new email open/composed (by pressing the Compose button), there should be a button that says Attach Files, with a paperclip image next to it. Press that button, and a page will come up saying "Attach Files" and there will be five gray boxes with Browse buttons. Go to the box next to File 1 and find the Browse... button. Click it, and find the image in which you wish to attach/send. Once you have attached all of the pictures you choose to, click the Attach Files gray button at the bottom, and the pictures will be attached to the email. Then, once you are done with the email, send it and the attached pictures will go with it.
