I wired a roadie xt on my ultra classis and it cuts out/no signal often. Will wiring it to the back antenna in addition to connecting to the receiver help or solve the problem?

I installed my Sony CDXGT250MP today and am able to listen to the cd played or Aux output but I have no radio reception?? I connected all of the wires and did have three left over in the wiring in the old...

The orange/black wire should be a dimmer, the blue wire should be power antenna, the Blue wire should only be hooked up if your antenna goes up when you turn the car on, also goes down when car is off. OR you could possibly have an aftermarket antenna that needs power to boost signal. There should be a thick black wire that is pluged in somewhere on the back of your radio.bassmekanic.gif

On my clarion cx609 double din player i need an antenna out wire

This radio has a multi wire plug. In this mess of wires is a blue one and a blue with white tracer. The Blue and white tracer wire is for the amp and the solid blue is for antenna. If you do not see these then look for an empty socket in the back of the plug where all the wires are coming out. This might have been cut by someone or pulled out by a bad de-install job.

If antenna is not connected will it turn on

The unit should power up without an antenna. If it powers up then you would only get hash noise on the speakers. You can put a paper clip with a 12" piece of wire to the input or where the ant should go to see if you are getting a signal.
If you have power at the unit then you may have a bad ground (-).

Sony CDX-CA810X / CD-playback drops aux amplifier

Do you have the remote turn on lead hooked up to solid blue wire from the back of the deck? Your amp shoild be hooked up to Bluw w/ white strip as the solid blue wire shuts off when the tuner is off, its used only for the power antenna.

Use Blu w/ Wht strip for amps

Can I plug in a electric antenna?

If you check the wiring at the back of the unit, there will be a blue wire coming out of the stereo that is probably not connected to anything, and often will have a plastic insulator stuck on the end. It may even have a label on it saying "antenna" or similar. This lead will put out a signal for a motorised antenna. To connect it, you would need to connect the blue lead to a relay which would be able to switch on power from the battery to the antenna motor - many motorised antennas will have that relay built into the base - check the wiring instructions that come with whatever antenna you get. You can also just wire a motorised antenna to a separate switch, only needing to connect the signal coax cable to the stereo - just be careful that the antenna motor has a switch that shuts it off when it is fully in, or fully out - else you could burn out the motor. Hope this helps, please ask again if you need mre info :)

No Signal

Try another antenna...Maybe the other one got a cut in the wire or somehow malfunctioned.
