You sure can!
ipodbattery.com

You may incur some minor physical damage to your ipod (like the case) but other than that it should be fine as long as your willing to open up your ipod! I replaced my ipod video with no problems, only a few dents in the plastic case, but since ipod mini is metal, you should have less damage to the case while prying it open, and i believe you open it by unscrewing some screws anyway...

Ipod does not hold a charge

You probably need a new battery, which should cost no more than $10-15. There are several quality guides for battery replacement on the ipod mini scattered about the internet. Many sites will even do the reapir for you, all you have to do is mail it in.

I changed my Ipod mini battery. When I got it all back together, it was working except it was locked and I couldn't get it unlocked. I flipped the button back and forth several times trying to get it...

try this... plug ipod to pc/laptop let it open itunes.....once ipod shows up ......disconnect.........it should be unlock..

if not....this one you are best to make sure all of files are on itune, because if you do this it will unlock the ipod and also delete all of your files....(factory restore)

IPOD mini won't play purchased music unless 100% charged

I've called Apple support on this before. They told me to make sure that the Ipod is set for Manually manage music in the Ipod settings of ITunes. You should restore all software in your IPod to factory settings before doing this.

IPod mini battery dies when nearly fully charged, often while skipping songs.

iPod batteries are cheap on ebay...like $5...and come with installation instructions. Try installing a new battery and see what happens...?

Ipod Mini stopped working

Does it work while in a cradle or connected to the pc? If so, the battery is probably toast. I don't know if it is worth the investment to you to just get a new battery or a new iPod.
