Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

Hi! I would like to be able to use my Blue Ray as a speaker system to play my ipod through my TV (I have a new flat screen). Does anyone know how to hook up an ipod to the Blue Ray so that I can play music? It will play CD's through the TV, so I hope that it will also play my ipod. Cheers

I have the cord, actually I've hooked up ITunes wirelessly to play through any speakers. The problem is that I want to be able to play this through the speakers on my TV. I think that I have to go through the Blue Ray, since nothing else is working.. but I dont know how to do that.

I need to know the quality of the speakers on the TV. Try unplugging it from the speakers on the TV and plug it into the souround sound speakers only and see if it plays differently. Double check your sourround sound and makes sure you did not reverse a wire.

Do you have all 5+1 speakers connected? You need to go to the Setup menu of yamaha and set which speakers you have and which you don't. For example if you don't have the Center speaker connected, receiver will redirect and mix the sound to the other speakers.
Blue-ray film over HDMI should automatically output via all your configured speakers (nothing to be configured).

Your LG tv should have an optical output socket,if your surround system has one as well,(input) then connect an optical lead from the tv to the system, then select either input 1 or opti 1(depending on your system) you will then get the sound from whatever you are watching on the tv

Hi, Ive tried to set up my samsung blue ray

It seems as though the HT works fine, so to get the TV itself to play through the HT setup, take the audio out from the TV and hook it up to a separate channel on the HT receiver. Turn on TV and receiver and put the receiver on the respective channel of the receiver. I hope this helps.

Connecting bose 321 system to lg hd flat screen, bose receiver plays fm am ok threw speakers.tv will not play threw bose speakers.bose dvd plays sound ,but no picture

You will need a Component Video Cable
Connect the Red Green and Blue Connections from the TV to the Bose.

if your audio is coming from the TV, also connect stereo audio from the TV's audio out to the "TV" input on the bose.

if you want to hook up other devices (VCR, BluRay, etc) the video will go directly to the TV and audio will go directly to the Bose
