Click start.  right click my computer and click manage.  on the list to your left, click on disk management.  in that list you should see your hard drive. on the bottom where the grey square is at and says like disk 1, disk 2 and so on, right click and click initialize.  Please be careful with this procedure, as it may format your hard drive.  If you are looking to get stuff off of it first, take it to a friend that can back it up.

Ok, what happened is your hard drive got messed up somehow and you lost the partition tables.  No data will be recoverable unless you have a program to do so.  At that it will take hours and you may not recover anything.  Now in that same disk managment, right click on the drive and create a partition table, after that is done, right click and format. after all is done, reboot and you should have a working hard drive.

I see the drive located in devices but not located in my computer cant get to drive. tried it on xp pro and 7 pro.

Hi, I take it the drive is new out of the box?
If it is then it may not be formatted. Right click on "My Computer" and click "Manage" Click on "Disk Management" and locate the new drive in the list. It will probably have a red mark against it. Right click the red mark and click "Initilaze" Now move the mouse pointer to the main "Unformatted" area shown to the right of where you were, right click and select "Format". Follow the onscreen prompts to format the drive in the manner you require. Once this is done, the drive will show up normally in "My Computer"

PLEASE TAKE NOTE, DO NOT FORMAT THE DRIVE IF IT ALREADY HAS DATA STORED ON IT AS YOU WILL LOSE ALL THE DATA BY EXECUTING A FORMAT COMMAND!
I hope this is helpful

Removed coby meadia manager program from computer when plugging usb cord & coby mp3-600 back into computer. will not recognise devise as new & reload program

Media Manager is just the software that allows you to sync, the MP3 player should still show up as a Removable Disk drive under 'My Computer'. If not, check your connections, something should also appear on the MP3 player screen when connected to the computer.

My printer will not print

For what reason did you have to set your pc back to factory settings? You may have a problem in your devise manager that will show up. Like your usb ports not working properly. check out your devise manager under control pannel and see if you have any problems their.

I can't delete songs from my Mp3.

I had the same problem.

On the MP3, go setting and then to USB.

There are two options: Auto Detect or MSC. One will be checked showing the current connection type. Select the other one and connect the Sansa to your computer.

For some reason, the Sansa doesn't recognize files loaded in MSC if you're connected in Auto mode and vis versa.

In MSC mode, it will show up as a devise with a drive letter. In Auto mode, there's no drive letter; it shows up as a removable devise.

Also note, you can only add Playlists in the Auto mode. MSC mode does not recognize Playlists or if it does, I haven't figured out how to do it

CD ROM won't play

Check the Hardare manager is there any question mark at the icons of the CD drive? If the auto play does'nt work then the CD-rom is not reading the CD, either the CD format is different or the CD-rom lens is faulty. Note: don't remove Hardware when PC is running, you might cause damage to your Hardware devices.

Usb flash drive 2 gb

Hi ...

When that happen try going into the device manager area >>> start >>>
control panel >>>system >>> hardware tab >>> device manager , now notice
your usb controllers area , its mostly likely open and if so ?
See if you notice a little yellow exclamation mark http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exclamation_mark by it , if so , right click on it
and select delete , then highlight your computer name http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naming_scheme on the very top of the
devise manager , select " Action " and then select " scan for hardware
changes , at this point your compute should now notice your usb devise , by
the way make sure when you are performing this that your usb devise is plug
in , See if that helps.

Else refer to this website http://www.uwe-sieber.de/usbtrouble_e.html
This site every issue related to USB device.
I am sure this will surely fix your problem.

Thanx for using fixya,
Bye.
