Question about Canon Office Equipment & Supplies
I was sold an Apple M3240G/A blk cartridge for my Canon MPC5500 fax maching....and was told it was a Canon BC20 cartridge. It is not recognized by the printer. What is wrong?
May be the same cartridge, but several brand name cartridges have computer chips is them that may not recognize other brand name cartridges, even though the cartridges may look identical.
Canon use to make all of the apple printers back in the day when apple actually sold name brand printers. That been awhile though... long while. The apple cartridge has to be really old stock.
I would take it back and request the name brand cartridge or at least a generic one that says it is compatible with your printer.
Hope this helps.
