Hello... I will try and help you with your problem. I am assuming that you have cut the factory harness off in the truck? If you have and you can reconnect it, I would recommend doing this and then you can purchase a wire harness adapter and then just match the colors. The benefit in using an adapter harness is the ease of the installation, and the more you change the radio in the truck, the shorter the wires will get. If you do not have the factory harness, or cannot reconnect the old one, here is the hardwire code:
Wire purpose: Truck color: Alpine harness:
6 1/2" Doors
Left Front (+)
Left Front (-)
Right Front (+)
Light Green Gray
Right Front (-)
6 1/2" Rear Corners
Left Rear (+)
Left Rear (-)
Right Rear (+)
Right Rear (-)
Hi - unfortunatly you can forget colour coding as a means of connecting them as this rarely works. Autoleads sell adaptors to bridge for myour cars wiring look directly to the ISO connector from the Sont. Faining this a trace back or a Haynes manual will let you know what each wireof your loom is for and you sony manual shuld explain the harness
sounds likes some wires are crossed when it was installed...just take the radio out and make sure all wires are connected to the right ones. colors of the wires are the same as the harness used..if one was used..hope that helps if not i apologize
