The volume settings might be locked to '50'. If you have to release this, and to set it into 100%, have to enter its service mode option. If you wish to get more details, check this link. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Selecting the view option, either to Mosaic
/ Time slide, can be selected by the drop-down list, at the top left
of the display window, will make surf easy. You can also do a search, by type in the brand name/model
number/IC used, in the search box at the top right of the display window. Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given in detail.

If this doesn't work and you have an LCD TV turn off the back light. As it is probably causing interference this is found in the TV menus.
We would be happy to help you with getting your DISH Networkremote to control your Orion TV. Start by pressing and holding the TVbutton located on the top of your remote until all mode button back lights comeon, and then release. Use the number buttons to enter the codes for your TV; here are some of the codes we currently have: 720, 744, 748, 722, 694, and 721. Press the pound (#) button. To check that the code works try severaldifferent functions on the remote to make sure it will properly operate the TV.Remember that some codes may not be compatible with your TV. If this isthe case, try the other codes listed for your Orion until you findone that is compatible with it.
We hope this helps and thank you for being a valued DISH Network customer!

I found this on Bob Vilas website, it worked for my t.v. hope this helps someone else out-ttu821 "This will probably work for most Orion V-chips... I figured it out looking at another manufacturer's instructions, on my Orion it was: * Turn the volume down to 0 * Change to a blocked channel (where it asks for V-Chip password) * On the TV (not from the remote) hold the volume down button * (While holding volume on TV) hold the '0' key on the remote for between 2-10 seconds... * The screen should unlock, and you should save no V-Chip restrictions. You can now use your manual to find out how to set the restrictions you want."
Turn the set on, hook the cable directly to the TV, take the remote control and press 1 - 1 and if the TV tunes in channel 11 then your set is fine. If the TV was autoprogrammed when hooked to a cable box then the only channels that will be stored in memory are 3, maybe 4 and AUX. To correct this simply go back into the menu and look for the "autoprogram" option and perform the autoprogram while the cable is directly connected to the TV, without a cable box.
