Question about GE Profile Wizard DPSE592EAWW Electric Dryer
Not sure how it goes on as it came off before I took the panel off. Where would I find a HiTemperature adhesive and how does this seal go back on?

Yuck, nothing like replacing the felt, removers will only give you brain damage.I would find something hard plastic to scrap it off to prevent scraping of the finish. Dont give up a burn it off, I know from experience. Try the red plastic scrapers from Ace Hardware, there cheap by a dozen just in case the person who installed the felt had a seizure with the glue!

No its not hard, just unplug first and then just take the front off and take note where the wires go to the door switch.,also check your drum to make sure you did not damage.

since you got the top opened, now look inside the front panel toward top remove screws or hex screws now you can remove the front panel. Undo the door switch wires before removing the front panel. The felt seal should be glued to the front panel aroun the opening to the drum you should be able to tell where it was.

You need to buy new felt. There is an upper and a lower piece. The upper piece has 3 glides to support the drum. When you buy the parts, make sure you have the dryer part number and there are some pictures that will help.
Make sure you uplug the dryer. Flip up the top lid of the dryer by sliding a large flat nose screw driver under the front corners of the top. Remove the front panel by taking out two phillips screws. Also remove the power cable to the front controls so you can completely remove the front panel. Strip off the old felt and clean the surface as good as you can. Glue on the felt (you should get a tube of glue with the new felt). Let is dry a bit before you put everything back together. It is a pretty easy job.
