I'm not sure the ignitor is the problem because I have watched and it glows brightly and is very consistent all the time

Thanks......That makes sense to me and sounds like it will take care of the problem....Thanks again

I see this problem quite often, although oyou see it "glowing" its not glowing strong enough( pulling enough amps) to open thesafety valve and releas the gas. indicator(s) of this are,, too long to ignite( gas should ignite within 40-60 seconds after unit is turned on). inconsistant cooking times, as nwellas not being albe to maintain even temp if'when it ever does achieve desired temp, reason forthis is finally after struggling to get o 350 theunit shuts off ( too aintain temp) then when its time to relight its struggles to relight causing loss of temp in oven cavity.. I truely belive that this is your issue, the only other thing affecting oven temp is your thermostat itself, in which case only determines the temp and if this was issue your ove n would merely be off by a certain degree but consistantly off by that same temp no fluctuations..good luck!

Possible that there is some condensation within when the temperature drops down. When the set is powered or in action the heat is build up inside to keep the set working fine.
So it will be good to have the inside cleaned.heat up to dispere any moisture using a hair dryer.
make sure the air circulation is good but not taking in any moisture .

I have a frigidaire gas stove model #FGF337AWJ.

I went through that once and believe it or not it was the ignitor. Instead of a thermocouple these new ovens use the amount of current going through the ignitor to prove the flame. Seems like after it gets ot a certain temperature the amps drop off enough to cut out the flame and then it will try to recycle. If it is not that it would be the thermostat but they very seldom go bad. I would reolace the ignitor first I think it will solve your problem.

Erratic/slow heating

Hi, It sounds like you need to change the on=ven ignitor. Even tho it glows, it is weak and will not open the gas valve consistantly. It is a very common problem. Please let me know if I can assist you with part# or how to replace the part.

Thanks
Vic

Slow heating and control panel clicking

I have a similar problem with my Frigidaire FAM156R1A Air conditioner. The unit is stuck on a temp setting and occasionally makes a beeping sound. Repair tech came out and told me the control panel was broken and that this is a common problem. I wrote more detail here: http://www.epinions.com/content_404700761732
