I replaced both silinoids and the ice maker. The ice maker will freeze water but not fill with water. My refridgeratoor is an a Amana

Likely that the water supply tube to the icemaker is frozen. It will be a white rubber tube on the right side of the icemaker. Warm it with a hair dryer, remove it from its aluminum tubing, and make sure there is no ice all the way back to where the supply tube comes from the water valve. After thawing, your icemaker should start working again.

Now..... why did it freeze? Most likely, there is a restricted airflow to the back of the unit, which is need to keep that aluminum supply tube just warm enough to assure all the water flow OUT of it into the icemaker, and doesn't freeze up on contact. Make sure your coils and the airspace under the fridge are completely clean (vacuuum them well) and it should cure the problem.

Start by cleaning the condenser with a brush and a shop vac. Then get some nickleguard ice machine cleaner and wash the units plate's down going by package directions, then retry before calling a tech. It may start working but if it does not then it may save you some money by having the unit clean before the tech gets there. Ice machines are not a DIY repair. Sowwy

If ice-maker is not getting filled with water,then it will not make ice.So the water supply needs to be checked.If the water supply is ON and still not making ice then its faulty water valve.This valve is not letting the water to get in the ice-maker.This valve is located at the back of ice-maker.-------------but as your problem mentioned,it says that ice maker is getting filled and ice is getting made,but its not dispensing ice cubes or crushed ice.If this is your problem then,First thing check is noise from the motor.When you push the flap to dispense the ice from dispenser,you will hear the noise from the motor mechanism,if there is no noise then its faulty motor,in some cases the motor gets blocked.But if you hear the noise then,open the freezer door,then open the ice bin door and push the flap and see if the ice is getting pushed from back of the bin to front of the bin,if its not getting pushed,then it indicates problem with the flap.Its called auger motor and auger flap.but if the ice is getting pushed from back of the bin to front of the bin then check the trap door.The trap door open to release the ice cube.If its not getting open and remains close then it has to be checked.Either the trap door is got stuck/jammed or its broken.But if the trap door is not jammed then the problem is drive blade.See if you can rotate the drive blade while you hold the auger still if so the drive blade is rusted and not working.The blades needs to be replaced. The drive blade which drives the ice dispenser is worn out and lets the auger spin with out moving ice forward. To replace part you have to remove auger just remember the order in which the crushing blades came off. While refitting this will help. You may have to replace auger if worn.
