Hi!

If you are not familiar with electronics, then fixing with be expensive!! Labor and parts will run you close to the purchase of a new one! It could be more then one board, with this symptom. I recommend buying new, and enjoy the new technology. Good luck, I hope this is helpful!

It does sound like the convergence board which is fixable but the price and time might outweigh the new technology you will get from a new set

Try first unplugging power cord to reset the unit.

If you already reset power try restarting the unit with no cable attached, a bad HDMI cable can cause the fault state.

If it is not a bad cable, then it is probably a faulty main unit, that is the board hosting tuner circuit. here the part for about $150

the part for about $150, the labour is about $150, the total cost will be about $300/$350 maybe less depending on the repairer.

HOT WATER TO THE KITCHEN WHERE THE BOILER IS INSTALLED - FINE. BUT TO THE BATHROOM, 4 METRES AWAY, THE TEMPERATURE DROPS OFF. I HAE BOUGHT A NEW HEAT EXCHANGER TO REPLACE THE OLD ONE (10 YEARS OLD ) IS...

There is a formula for working out heat loss over distance in your situation but I cannot remember it at present. It suffices to say that 12 feet is a long way if the pipe is not lagged with efficient foam lagging. I would expect if the water starts out at say 70 C the end of the pipe will produce, after running for a few minutes around 50 C depending on ambient temperature and wall clipping etc.
Most installations use 3/4" hot water pipes and 1/2" cold to improve the heat flow and compensate for different pressures.

Hello, I have been having power problems with my Samsung FPT5084 50" plasma for the past year. I know what the problem is,m just don't know how to fix it. My TV keeps blowing fuses. I bought 10 12A 250V...

I would have maintenance from your building come out or the electric company and put a monitor on the 110v line into your apartment to make sure the ground strap is not coming loose in which your voltage will rise in excess of 150 volts.
As far as I see, your AC line fuse is only a 6 amp. Why are you using a 12 amp? If you have a circuit board ID number of the fuse your replacing, that would be helpful. I know of no Plasma set that uses a 12 amp fuse, not even old heavy current draw sets of yester year. You can e-mail me at jmk2938@gmail.com

52G786 ATSC Tuner no longer works

I have the same exact model tv...Love it...ATSC tuners is in definition an Analog tuner. As the broadcasting companies change over to Digital broadcasting before the deadline in Febuary 2009 more and more local or Non-Digital chanels are becoming obsolete. You would have to purchase a converter box for your tv if your not planning on getting cable. Another way to gois if you have an old cable line running through you house (no incomming cable) plug you tv into that jack. That also acts as a antenna. The sweet part of all this is that your tv do have a QAM tuner or Digital tuner built in just need that digital antenna to pair it up.

I have a philip 42 in plasma tv that i bought 3 years ago and yesterday the image went from perfect to speckles and red lines... only about a 5 in horizontal section in the middle of screen is still...

This is a problem that I've seen a million times with HP TV's that use LG panels. The problem had to do with the controller board that sends the signal to the video sustain boards. To rule out any signal interference that maybe causing this if I'm wrong, bring up the OSD and try a DVD that is connected to a different input. If they are effected too, then it is has nothing to do with the incoming cable/satellite signal and the TV would require service.

Your tv needs a software upgrade, check with the tv manf and see if they have one available, usually they have it online for free
