Question about Dell Inspiron 8500 Notebook
Ilet my friend borrow my laptop and she doesnt know what she did to lock it. now when i turn it on it ask for system password. i did not have one set. now what do i do to get into it ?
It is possible that the main Administor account is unlocked, Turn off the computer and then turn it back on, while it is starting press the F8 key every 2 Secs until you see a menu, then pick SAFE MODE from the list, when the computer starts you should see your profile and the administrator profile, click on the administrator and then Windows should start up, If this works go into Start and then control panel, click on USERS, if you dont see users click on switch to classic mode on the top left, after you open USERS then click on your profile and remove your password. after this restart the computer and you should be able to log into your account. If this does not work you will need to download software to unlock it.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
