Your power setting are set to turn off the screen after a set time to change this.
Click on the start menu, Control Panel From the control panel select power options. Select Change advanced power settings Find Display - Turn Off Display After Adjust the time from the current time to a more suitable time.
From your description it sounds like your screen resolution changed on you. To change just right click on a blank spot on the desktop or control panel - display. Then click on the setting tab (right side top) and on this page in the middle should be display settings with a slider bar. Just move that to the right to increase the resolution. 1024 by 800 or higher is probably what you want. The actual number depends on the monitor your have. On my older lcd I use 1280x1024 as an example. The higher the resolution the smaller and sharper everything looks. The sharper it is the easier it is on your eyes. So you should go as high as you can which is usually limited by being able to read whats on the screen. ;-]

mcdevito75 here, It sound like the first tech. simply increased the zoom on your Monitor screen for his eay viewing and failed to restore it for you. Here"s how, on your screen in the lower right hand corner you should see 100% or 75%, this is the zoom, left clicl on the number and then check 100% ------ or even easier, left click on View at the top of your screen, then click zoom, now check the 100%. you can also check at View, the text size, this is the size of the letters on your screen. click on text size for large or larger or small. It sounds like you are playing an old game that cannot be run in the highest resolution your system could run in, therefore the game adjusts the screen resolution. To revert to your highest setting right click a blank area of the desktop, click personalize --- display settings -- and drag the resolution slider to the far right, as far as it can go. Of course when you start the game windows alert you that it is changing the resolution, you may click no to the change, but your game would be blurred. its one or the other. Choose!
This is probable cause of the display card in your computer if you are using the integrated display of your motherboard please install AGP display card that will enable you to play all the games which uses high resolution.
