Hey Guys, I have replaced the SK convergence IC's (both) on my 50gx30b I followed the instructions and did not replace the resistor because none of them were discolored. However when I repowered the TV I noticed the green was pincushioned. I went in to the service mode and adjust the beams to the grid and the color has lined up but now I have all the colors pincushion. When I shut the tv down for any period of time the Red and Blue does not stay aligned and I have to go back to the service mode to correct the issues all over again.

Do an internet search on "Hitachi Convergence Circuit". This apparently happens all the time. TV repairmen charge about $400. Parts are less than $50 but you would have to be an expert at soldering electronics circuits to replace it yourself.
