I need a new valve and flame sensor for a 1982 Thermador Char Glo

I have burnt out the valve and flame sensor on my 1982 Thermador Char Glow indoor gas grill. The valve and flame sensor are one piece and the part number is 08-03-732. Since it is an old bar b q I have not been able to find the part and so now my bar b q will not work. We use the bar b q almost every night and will miss it dearly unless we can find the part to repair it. Does anyone konw where I can find the part?

What kind of charcoal or lava rock do I buy for my indoor Char-glo waste king universal grill

You have a gas grill, so you don't want charcoal. You need lava rock, any big box hardware store carries them (or Amazon). Doesn't really matter what brand, just get a size of rock that won't fall through the grate. Take a piece of your old rock that won't fall through the grate with you to the hardware store. Get something as large or larger.

Char glo indoor gas grill

leave at least 1/4 inch between briquettes. sometimes clients will pile-up briquettes hoping to make the grill hotter or more efficient but the briquettes can become an impediment to heat circulation which will cause heat to spread low. this usually damages the module and control valves. A single layer with small space between each briq is sufficient.

Yesterday the flame was great. Today it's barely there

Unscrew valve again to reset safety valve. Then always open valve slowly. Opening to fast makes valve think it is leaking and shuts down. This should correct problem. If it doesnt then valve on tank is bad.

Need manual for Char Glo CG29F indoor Grill

I believe I have the same grill in my house. It does work, but I have to light it with a lighter. I haven't found anyone to "restore" or fix it up, so I am considering taking it out when I remodel, so if you are interested in salvaging parts. Mine is in very good shape, appearance wise. Alternatively, if you've found someone to fix yours up, let me know! Newtzlaw

Flame from behind knob

no these are a one time fail valve because the reason there is a flame is the packing has came out of the valve. Most of these valves may be purchased from either westlake hardware, home depot, or wal-mart.
