    For most of my key strokes there are double lines instead of letters or numbers. I changed the print wheel and it did not solve my problem.

Hi;

If you are getting to small vertical lines instead of the character then the printwheel might be bad. All the spokes on the printwheel should be evenly spaced and not bent or deformed.

Check the printwheel for any broken or bent spokes. vertical lines means the wheel is between letters so either a problem with printwheel or something preventing wheel from turning normally.

The ribbon is probably not in the guide properly, or is not coming up all the way. Switch the ribbon selector from blk /red and back a few times. If the ribbon is in wrong rethread it. If it is electronic, the ribbon is in wrong.

Hi there. Take out the printwheel and see if any of the spokes are bent. That would cause wrong letters. . Also if the print solenoid(piston) does not go in and out freely. Lawrence

Different letter appears from the one i've typed

Sounds like the wheel is out of alignment. I had this problem with the one I recently purchased for my daughter. Release the tension on the ribbon and head. Pull the wheel cartridge out and line up the letters. Put the wheel back and reapply tension. Repeat until it is aligned. Took me a couple tries to get it working, but its working and seems to be stable.
