Carriage door malfunction

Hi my name is caleb and i work for the department of graduate studies at the university of georgia. i have an inkjet 9110 that is reporting an open print carriage door and i have not found a way to fix this. the door is in fact closed and the problem persists of course. Where is the "door open" sensor located on this printer ... so I can clean it.
Thank you!

The manual didn't provide a solution, but I saw another post on the same topic. Inside, on left front side of printer, there is a plastic lever that determines whether door is open or not. I think that is broken ... stuck my hand in there & wiggled it, and seemed to solve it for now. Thanks anyway for your post.

Other than some minor pieces and accessories, HP doesn't make too many parts available direct to consumers. Almost everything on the parts page for this model needs to be ordered through HP's reseller network. Try contacting one of those vendors to see if they can identify and supply the part you need. (The only name I recognize is Vance-Baldwin; they were our preferred vendor when I was in service for a large retailer.)

Not starting, all lights are flashing on front panel

Hi

While printer on, remove all the ink cartridges, close door with cartridges out pull out power cable at the back wait 10 seconds power back up check rear and front rollers, ensure carriage moves left to right freely, insert cartridges one by one

should work if not then you have a hardware malfunction

Carriage door malfunction

There is a little sensor that goes back to the mother board that says the door is closed. This sensor may be malfunctioning because: the sensor itself is broken, or the mother board in the printer is not receiving the pulse. The wire that goes from the sensor to the mother board may be broken or pinched. You can contact HP.com to find out what part you may need.
thanks hope this helps Helen
Also you can look to see if debris is caught in the sensor area. Use a flashlight and dust sensor off.
