You must enable first the Ethernet connection on your modem before your new router can allow to access the Internet by Ethernet.

I just bought this router and am trying to get it connect with a Verison wirelss USB mobile broadband. How can I connect it to my computer and an Xbox 360?

For Verizon i found that Currently, the DIR-412 Mobile Broadband Wireless Router is the only D-Link router that is 3G compatible. The DIR-412 supports 3G USB adapters complying with HSUPA/HSDPA/EV-DO/TD-SCDMA networks and works with most major cellular carriers (AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, Rogers, Telus, Bell, etc).
D-Link routers empower gamers to easily connect their Microsoft Xbox to network and experience lag-free online gaming. All you need is a D-Link router to go along with your broadband connection and Xbox Live subscription and you can go head to head with friends and adversaries from around the world.

The D-Link DI-624 Wireless Broadband Router, DI-614+ Wireless Broadband Router, and the D-Link DI-604 Broadband Router have all passed the tests for compatibility with Microsoft Xbox Live with specific firmware. Just download the specific compatible firmware listed below to your D-Link router before connecting to Xbox Live.

  • Click here to upgrade your firmware.
  • Click here for Xbox Live setup instructions with a router.
  • For Xbox Live support, please visit www.xbox.com.

Wireless router needs to be reset due to power surge

leave the wirelss router powered then press and hold down the "reset" button situated in the back for 30 minutes.

Your router will be as new as factory settings.

If it is lynsys then you may use either the disc that came with it or type 192.168.1.1 (default Lynsys IP Address) having connected router to PC.

TEW432-BRP Trendnet wireless broadband router wont connect

Sounds like you need to configure the PC's USB wireless adaptor. The settings must be the same as the router. If you use a WEP password on the other connections then you need to have the same password on the USB wireless adaptor. Good Luck.

    Lost Product Code

I dont understand why you would need a product code? You would just connect the router in between your PC and modem... You should already know the routers web interface's IP address (factory default is 192.168.1.1, username is blank[as in no username] and password is admin). Restoring to factory defaults would probably be your best bet... If you give me the model number and revision or hardware number I can get more specific with what you need to do... Hope this helps!!

The easiest way to set up this router is to connect it via ethernet cable and then access the router with the default ip address and configure it from there

    Cannot finish connecting

Hi fozzy211 - Please don't rate this 'til were finished. You've got two things going on. You said it's telling you to check the cables and then you say it's saying the router isn't from Verizon. Is it both? Are the cables hooked up correctly to your knowledge? We can fool Verizon's system. Let me know if you actually have two problems. For now I would only hook up one pc via wired until it's working. I'll await your response. Thanks.

    Wii connection issues.

You can check if the problem is with the internet connection going to the Wii or just the wireless connection.

When you loose connection, check the Wii's ip address. If it does not have an ip address(or ip is 169.xx.xx.xx) that means that the Wii is disconnecting from the wireless network. You can then try other wireless channels on your router.

If the Wii is still getting an ip of 192.168.x.x, that means that the problem is the internet from the router. You might need to forward ports on the router for your Wii.

If you face frequent drop outs confirm with your isp that it's not a problem with line...and also check the physical setup of broadband check if your router is connected to main socket of your house where telephone line enters in your house......
now when you face drop outs check on your hard wired comp whether you remain connected or not if no its a problem with line..
if no reconfig your bt router for wireless network change the channel of your wireless network either to 1 or 11...
or either there is one other way reset your router to default settings by pressing the pin at the back of your router..
and after that your router will start its default wireless network i.e a unsecure network..
try connecting to that network if still the same there are drop outs it's a problem with router....contact bt to config the router...
