Definitely not. You have the symptom called 'field collapse' . What happens is a beam of excited electrons is traced across the screen and when it reaches the end the beam flys back and traces the next line down. Because you have a line across then the beam is scanning across but the field circuit isnt making the beam move down as it traces across a new line. The fault lies either in your field deflection driver chip or...the power supplying it has disappeared at around 27 volts..or the booster or voltage doubler circuit connected to the chip has goe faulty.. Another fault could be the yoke connection b roken but hardly likely unless youve dropped the tv at some point :)

if line is across screen thats virtical circuit prob. need tech or up and down horiz circuit. need tech

physical damage is probably not covered under warranty - check your owner's manual and call customer service - they will advise you [dxh]

Clearly shows problem in deflection area both horizontal and vertical section. Horizontal lines is due to vertical section problem and making bbzzzz is due to horizontal output transistor short and sometimes LOT SHORT.

if the set has a previous vertical line problem and a white horizental line only comes in the cross of the screen and you turned the tv on for a time while the problem is solved that mean you have make a burnt line to the screen , but if you are the tv owner and nothing of that happens so you have a problem in faulty dried capaciter in the vertical live part search for 33uf 160 v or 22u 160 v and alter regards please don't forget to rate thx

sounds like you have a vertical sweep problem. Where the fault lies cpuld be the vertical output IC the verticle b+ feed, could be the capacitors in the vertical circuit?? Your gonna need to troubleshoot thr vrtical circuit if your not a tech thin my advise is to take the set to a pro for sn est. Good Luck
