If you are talking about Blue ghost images or many blue spots on TV screen then it is light engine problem.
It is costly repair.
Let me know exact model number of TV to check info with Sony about any remedy.

Picture is very blue, especially in dark scenes.

Sony TVs has an Optical Block issue. If there is an issue with the optical block, then there will be green, blue patches or tint on the TV display. Try resetting the TV to the factory settings and try Power resetting the TV. Turn Off the TV and remove the power plug from the wall outlet for 1 minute and reconnect it and check the operation. If the issue still persists, then TV may require service. You can contact the Customer relations team and check for the available options. Sony had repaired free of cost for such issues. Hence, contact the customer relations.

I replaced the lamp on my Sony KF-60XBR800. Now the picture is greenish and yellowish. I was told I might have touched/moved the purity ring/s. Where are they located?

My Sony LCD Projection TV has blue pixilation occuring.

This is not a cheap fix, but call sony they know about this problem and have sent out new TVs to people who have had the issue, I have had about 7 out of ten people who call into sony get brand new sets FREE, so tell them that your optical engine need to be replaced at around $900-1300 and how old it is and the S#, they may not do anything for you but I would try, good luck

Just replaced the lamp, but I still have a blue

You need an optical block. PN: A-1132-202-A. Part is very expensive with a $1500 core charge. Consider replacing the TV. Sorry, this is will eventually happen to all Rear Projection LCD televisions. The UV light emitted from the projection lamp destroys the Blue LCD panel first (shorter wave length), then the Green then the Red. The panels are not servicable, the entire unit must be changed. I hope this helps... it will save you a $100+ service call fee anyway.

I have a sony kdfe50a10 and the picture in the middle is perfect but there is all around it a yellow color. I replaced the bulb around a year ago.

Hi my name is Roety,
I can help you with your issue,
Your Sony LCD projector TV has a bad Light Engine also known as the Optic Block.
Blue blurr, yellowing, green picture and white dots all indicate a bad optic block.
The whole Optic Block needs to be replaced , the possible good news is Sony may be covering it under warranty.
Some models have a three year warranty on the Optic Block, some expire at fixed dates, regardless of when purchased.
Click on this link here to see if your model is one with the three year warranty.
A repairman would charge over $750 to repair it out of warranty, call a sony authorized repairman or try to find one using this link Click here
I hope this is good news and has helped you find a solution
If you need more assistance, please tell me your

Thanks

Hi.. i have a sony kdf42we655. had to teplace the lamp in August and since have had blue streak on side of screen and now blue dots here and there. Did ck to make sure lamp in correctly and screw tight....

the problem is your optic block. you probably had this problem before but since the lamp was almost dead you didn't see it. There is a place in Indiana called Tri State Module that will repair the optic block for $299 plus shipping. They are the only place that repairs these optic blocks. The only other option is to buy a new optic block. which will be alot more than TSM charges to repair yours. the link to their website is www.tristatemodule.com
