You can have Optical Jack form any defective receiver in local repair shop as these are similar in receivers.

Replacing the optical jack will also need re soldering.

If I well understood you need to replace the optical input socket on your Onkyo receiver.

The replacing of the jack will need resoldering, and also you replace the whole input board instead of the single jack.

I suggest contacting onkyo to have your warranty validated or to contact an authorized repair: Contact Onkyo Support | Customer Support | Onkyo USA.

If you are a repairer just order the input board from Onkyo and replace it.

In the meanwhile you can try using a different cable to connect to your unit.

Play in stering linkage

The most common of all problems in a steering system is excessive steering wheel play. Steering wheel play is normally caused by worn ball sockets, worn idler arm, or too much clearance in the steering gearbox. Typically, you shou Id not be able to turn the steering wheel more than 1 1/ 2 inches without causing the front wheels to move. If the steering wheel rotates excessively, a serious steering problem exists.

An effective way to check for play in the steering linkage or rack-and-pinion mechanism is by the dry-park test. With the full weight of the vehicle on the front wheels, have someone move the steering wheel from side to side while you examine the steering system for looseness. Start your inspection at the steering column shaft and work your way to the tie-rod ends. Ensure that the movement of one component causes an equal amount of movement of the adjoining component.

Watch for ball studs that wiggle in their sockets. With a rack-and-pinion steering system, squeeze the rubber boots and feel the inner tie rod to detect wear. If the tie rod moves sideways in relation to the rack, the socket is worn and should be replaced.

Another way of inspecting the steering system involves moving the steering components and front wheel BY HAND. With the steering wheel locked, raise the vehicle and place it on jack stands. Then force the front wheels right and left while checking for component looseness.

My laptop will not turn on the power supply is is fine gateway m6880

If laptop will not turn on and the power-supply is fine then it will be the computer itself and the only way to fix that would be a new motherboard due to the everyting oinside the laptop is pretty much connected to the mother board and not able to replace it without replacing the motherboard

Hi I have a Samsung PS42B430 I have connected optical out put jack to the digital audio out put (optical) I can recieve the sound when watching hd tv but cannot adjust volume.

Sounds like optical and HDMI is getting confused along the way.
You need to have a look at the manuals and ensure that the connections are correct and are selected correctly.

I accidently pulled the headphones out of jack too roughly

It depends, the worst case is you may have snapped the wiring inside the headphones but very difficult to cause damage to the phone.Pulling sideways could cause more drastic damages though.Hope this helps.

Panasonic 50": lamp blew, replaced it and ever since the screen looks really dim, even through different outputs (cable, HDMI, Component) and with the brightness jacked up, and it still looks really...

you probably need to clean lens and optics in the light engine. Also if it is a lcd projector inside of the light engine in front of the lcd is a glass color filter one for red ,green, blue they can darken and lose or even change color.I would clean optics and check and clean filters.Or you could replace light engine.

Power jack replacement Dell Inspiron 6400

When you press the power button, no lights, fans, beeps, anything?

Is the power jack moving around? If not, I would check the charger and cord to make sure power is getting through to the plug that goes into the jack.

Laptop wont start no lights

Check the power jack inside the laptop that you plug the cord into. Can you jiggle the cord? It's possible the power jack inside the laptop has broken off the motherboard. The reason I suspect that is the fact your wife says it works sideways. It's possible when she is holding it sideways the broken part is sometimes resting on the board just right to make the connection. Unplug the cord and take something small like a q-tip and see if you can move the power jack around inside, or if it's even still there where it should be. The computer would be able to turn on without a battery plugged in as long as you plug it into a wall. If you take the battery out and it still doesn't kick on then you can rule out any problems with the battery. Take a look, if you discover the power jack to be broken like I suspect it may be you're going to have to take it to a repair shop to have a replacement soldered in. You can actually defer some of the cost of this by purchasing the replacement dc jack yourself. You can find them on ebay for very cheap. just type in your brand and model laptop dc power jack and you should fine a ton of them. Then just take it to a computer shop and they should just charge you 1 hour - 2 hours labor depending on the shop. I hope this has explained your question in detail. If I've helped you please don't forget to rate me. Peter
