All downloads for Acer computers are to be found at www.acer.con, specifically
http://www.acer.co.uk/ac/en/GB/content/drivers
Your model is a Desktop > Aspire > M1100
It will ask you what O/S you are using, because the drivers you need, in general, depend on that.

I have been given a acer aspire L320 BUT THERE IS NOT A PROCESSOR IN IT. what i want to know is what processor fits.it

The Acer Aspire L320 can take 3 different processors

1. Intel Core 2 Duo

Dual Core chip with speeds from 1.8Ghz to 3.3 Ghz

2. Intel Celeron D

Dual Core chip with speeds from 1.6Ghz to 2.7Ghz

3. Intel Pentium 4

Single core chip with speeds from 1.3Ghz to 3.8Ghz

The Core 2 Duo 3.3 Ghz is the most expensive and Pentium 4 1.3 Ghz the cheapest.

Some more information is available on the Intel website, links are below:

http://www.intel.com/products/processor/core2duo/mobile/index.htm
http://www.intel.com/products/processor/pentium_dual-core/specs.htm

Hope this helps. Thanks for using Fixya.

I have long beeps continiously

Hi.friends,
Depending on your chip set, generally this means memory problems. You would try reseating the memory. Makesure it's snapped down snugly in it's socket. Also, just to be sure, reseat thevideo baord (agp?) Same thing here. Sometimes it seems like they are seated, but the fit is pretty tight. Don't push it through the motherboard, but justmake sure it's seated. Failing that, you might try another memory stick.

To fit the RAM right way click on the link. http://www.ehow.com/how_895_install-ram.html

Blue screen on start-up. Mobo SIS-741 Chipset SIS741GX Rev 03

This problem can be caused by several things. First, are the memory chips exactly identical (brand, type, size, etc.)? If not, that will definitely cause the problem. Second, how many memory slots are there? If you have four, check the manual and make sure you're putting the memory in the correct slots. Some Mobo's require that you put chips in slots A1 and B1 and not A1 and A2. Also, some Mobo's have DDR slots and DDR2 slots, so make sure you're putting the right kind of memory into the proper slots. Some people fudge the memory by putting 400 mhz memory into slower slots, and that works one chip at a time - but if you install a second, identical chip, the system will fail. If all else fails and you've met these conditions, check the type of memory to be sure of the proper fit (use manufacturer's recommended brands and numbers) or try a different chip in the second slot. One chip could be bad.
