I have a Dell studio and a cd is stuck in it. I push the eject button & nothing happens, there is no hole anywhere near that button. I've tried a few things but it's still stuck.

My CD is stuck in my Toshiba Satellite A505D laptop slot, with no hole near the Eject button.

Look on the cover on the tray near the eject button. Should be a tiny hole.
Get something like a straightened out paperclip and insert it in to the hole and push firmly but carefuly. It's an emergency eject for a stuck tray.

How do i eject a cd from my dell studio laptop

To eject your CD, look for a very small hole next to or near the eject button. Grab a large paper clip and straighten it out and then push one end into the small hole and press on it until it ejects

How can i remove a stuck cd from from a dell studio 1737

Since you drive does not open using the button nor with the mouse (open my computer - right click on the proper dvd rom drive - choose eject), software may be interfering with the normal operation of the drive. Do the following:
1. Attempt to Eject the CD in System Setup. Reboot the computer and tap the F2 key while at the Dell logo screen to enter System Setup. Then attempt to eject the CD tray using the button on the drive. If the drive ejects properly, there is a software conflict that needs to be resolved.
2. In case that the solution before didn't help, locate a small hole near the eject button of the tray. Use a paper clip in order to put it in this hole and push the internal cogwheel to rotate and open the drive.

In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post me a reply before rejecting my answer.

Dell Studio - I can't get the DVD out of the drive. I can read the DVD but cannot remove it.

Hi,

There is a small hole near the button you would push to eject the CD. Take a paper clip, and unwind it a bit. Stick it in that hole, and the CD should eject. Please let me know if you need further help.

Thanks

Disc won't eject, eject button won't light up, in fact none of the media control buttons will light up - except for "launch Dell Media Direct" button which is lite, and won't turn off. Its a Studio model,...

You can eject your cd drive by inserting a needle (saftey pin, sewing, etc.) into the pin hole near the eject button.
You can also try opening my computer and right clicking the cd drive and select eject.

CD wont eject from drive

Have you already tried to mannually open the tray, by inserting a thin straight object (like a unbent paper clip) in the manual eject hole on the optical disk drive? The hole exists for that pupose.

Cd stuck in drive

if the drive doesn't have a tray, try holding down the eject button. I think you would have to take the drive out from the laptop and possibly take the drive apart to get it unstuck.

Note that it may void your warranty if you have warranty on it, if you do have warranty on the computer it would be better to contact dell directly. They might replace the drive if its faulty.

also in windows you can try right click on the cd /dvd drive in my computer and select eject.

Cd stuck inside laptop

There is a small hole, usually near the eject button. Unbend a paper clip and carefully push the paper clip into the hole, try to keep it straight. drive should pop right out.
