PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING BEFORE PROCEEDING. If you feel confident, and ONLY so.Open the back, keep going until you are able to remove the small cable that connects to the top of the screen. It will be flat and approximately 2" wide, there will be one or more ribbon cables that go directly to the LCD display, but ignore these. Some manufacturers glue the flat connector in place, if this is the case with your model, use a hairdryer or hot air gun to soften and remove the glue, it is CRITICAL that you take care when doing so, as the connectors are very fragile on purpose. Then clean the contacts on the connector you can now remove with isopropanol or other fast drying alchohol with a toothbrush (not used), and reconnect it. You may wish to re-glue or using Electricians tape, secure it back in place. Many of these connectors are clipped in and have a latch that will need to either lift, or slide away from the PCB before you can gently remove the connector. Once you have cleaned the brass or gold contacts, very carefully replace and reassemble your TV.

It sounds that the video output section circuit bard to this TV have some loose solder terminals. Resolder all the suspected solder terminals by applying a little more solder. The video output section board can be located at the neck of the picture tube, will directly plugged on to it. Check it. If you wish to know more details about single color display screens, check this site. It has details to that problem. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Pull up previous posts there, either by its left side bar, or view it in Timeslide option.

11yr old "tube" tv has a completely green picture for about 10 minutes, then back to normal. Back to green after an hour or so. Can it be fixed?

you have to get the 'tubes' replaced with new ones, can be done at service.
the tubes of colors green and blue are getting old, so they cant withhold that much energy while being this old

Hi.The picture on my Sony KV32FQ75U has a green tint to it. When i select PIP the second picture with the same input is perfect. Is it possible to make this the main picture as when turning PIP off it...

odd problem--if PIP is normal remote should have a swap button--if the problem moves when you do that it is likely the main tuner--if issue only with one tuner the problem is there...............

Black horizontal lines across bottom 1/3 of screen

This is due to vertical section failure. Change the vertical supply rectifier diode and supply filters. Then check zener diode leakage in pumpup circuit section. Also check any electrolytic capacitors leakage in vertical section. If it is old model tv change vertical height, vertical lenearity presets also. I hope given details useful to you.

Toshiba 32AF41 Power up Problem and Green Screen

My first inclination would be to check the picture tube, especially if the set is over 7 years old. If it is not that, then anything from bad solder connections to capacitors or a defective IC could be the cause. If it's over 10 years old, replace it. No use flogging a dead horse.
