Hi, my guess is power supply. did it work normal, before it failed? this is a possible solution, carification request. also for about 10.00 bucks you can get a power supply tester. there is other ways to check it also if you know what wires to jump- i will tell you, what wires to jump with a paper clip-look on the atx molex plug on the power supply-do you have a green wire? dell and other brands are proprietory and use different colors alot. and so you buy the parts from them...the board could also have a problem..

do not do this unless there is a green wire,or you are sure of what you are doing..jump the green wire(ps-on) to any adjecent black wire(com) . if the fan on the power supply spins it is ok. then the problem lies in the mainboard or other hardware. post if you need help.ghoff1 hope this helps you.

Remove the 2 wires from the motherboard which connect the switch and start the PC by shorting the 2 pins with a screwdriver for 2 secs and see if it starts without failing. Cheers from Scott and plz vote

T-5010 Power supply issue

the voltage switch should be a small red switch, right below where the power cord plugs in. you will need a small screwdriver to switch it easily.

if you are getting no power at all, i would also check all the wiring connections on the motherboard from the ATX power switch. these are not that hard to dislodge and could also account for your problem.
hope this helps

You have to have a wired mouse mouse to fix it. Purchase a cheap one, or borrow a friends. Reboot the computer and go to the power options to make the changes.

PC will not turn on

it seems your motherboard doest get powered or your on/off switch is not working.

please check the power supply if its fan is working ,if it is working please open your PC's cover and you can find the power switches on the motherboard. i want you to shortcut the power pins.

how you can find them ? you can see these pins at the corner of your motherboard . if you can find and shortcut the pins ,and if your power supply works ,then i think problem is your motherboard. you should replace it .

does the computer completely shut down ?

There is a known issue with the power supply in them. Not enough rated wattage for the system.
