GPX Under The Cabinet TV/DVD Combo blips on and off

GPX Under The Cabinet TV/DVD Combo TV screen blips on and off until it gets warmed up or is on for a while then the picture pops in. It just started doing this, this week. We have had the unit for almost 3 years. I really doubt if there is anything any one can do with this except send it to some place who refurbishes these things. Even if you knew what caused the problem, getting repair parts would be a bear. Besides that it is a sealed unit. My guess would be that it is a solid state chip going out in it. Anyone who knows for sure, please post it.

It is either a chip or a relay on the board - neither will be user replaceable. You can contact GPX for service, however, it may not be worth the money to fix. Here's their number:

Possibly few weak capacitors in power supply section and requires replacement.
Qualified Tech will replace them with same value. Please check with local repair shop as that would be low cost repair.

What size Machine Screws do I need to mount a GPX Under Cabinet TV?

Um, "machine screws"? Unless you have a metal fitting inside the cabinet for those to screw to, you don't need machine screws.

Assuming you do have the metal fitting, then take that fitting to the hardware store to get the correct screws (and perhaps nuts). How long? Measure the thickness of the bottom of your cabinet, add the thickness of the bracket(s), and get the next size longer.

Screen is dark

most likely a blown Backlight module, may need servicing if you can't take it apart and change the part, but I bet that's your problem. If so and this helps solve your problem, please give a fixya rating, thanks in advanced.

My gpx under the cabinet tv comes on, but after a few minutes the sound gets static in it, then I lose the picture, but the sound comes back perfect.

Double check the cabling, loose cable will case such issues, also try a different cable, if neither works, most likely you will need to exchange it.

Have you tried to fine tune the channels? Other wise you need to set channels for cable and not air.
