How do you get the defrost overflow tray out from the bottom of the fridge to clean it? The water filter is in the way. Do you have to unbolt that and get it out of the way?

Condensation water build up inside refrigerator

The tray underneath your fridge is probably clogged, and overflowing. There is an evap tray underneath, and if it does not get adequate airflow, it will overflow, and leak out.

Clean the bottom front vents, and underneath the fridge to ensure adequate airflow.

There was a puddle of water coming from underneath the refrigerator. what would cause this problem

This is due to condesation water overflowing from the defrost collection tank which is normally located on the bottom of the fridge and above the compressor.
Normally sometimes if the fridge was set to lower temperature the defrosted water will be more than normal. So set the fridge to normal settings and check after draining the tank if the fault recurs.
If so check if the drain pipe from the evaporator collection tray is damaged.

My Liebheer stand alone fridge is filling up with water in the bottom of the fridge.

This is due to the defrost water condesing and overflowing out from the drain tank.
So keep the fridge in a normal temperature and make sure that the tank is empty. Also check if this is an overflow or that the drain hose is leaking from the top of the evaporator collecction tray. If so check out the leak point and patch up.
Other wise if the fridge is working fine all what is needed to check out using a good inspectiion lamp, check the tilt of the fridge and set using a water level.

My fridge model CTF2123AR leaks water under bottom pull drawer. this pools water on the floor

Water found under the tray is due to excess defrost specially when the fridge is set to a lower temperature due to heavy frosting.
So during defrosting the excess water flows into the tray and overflows out which incidently has flooded on the floor.
What could be done is to drain off the tank, fully defrost the fridge by shutting down for few hours and then setting the fridge/freezer to a normal temperature.

Finding water at bottom of fridge

Most probably the water can be the overflow from the drain tank of the fridge to which the auto defrost condensation flows. Also if there is any leak onthe tubing from the evaporator tray this can happen.
So remove fridge forward and check,

Leaking water from back on to floor

This could be that the drain tank at thebottom of the fridge is overflowing. Normally the drain water will evaporate off with the heat from the compressor but if possible it is good to clean and drain the collecting tray in the bottom of the fridge. You must have access to the backside of the fridge and remove the tray which is normally a pulllout. Drain , clean and put it back-- slide it in. Hope you do thei. Also make sure that the freezer setings are normal and not set high. During cold season this can condense more water to overflow the drain. Hope you try., Good day

How do I remove the water tray

The evap water tray is beneath the water filter and behind it. To remove the tray I loosened the water lines, unbolted the filter bkt. and removed the cross brace from the bottom front of the refridgerator after first putting blocks under the sides of the fridge and the coil bkts.

My hotpoint ffa74 fridge freezer drainage hole in fridge compartment never drains away the water. have emptied and defrosted but made no difference

Defrost the fridge. I recommend at least 24 hour period, it's normally quicker. After it has defrosted empty the tray at the back by simply unscrewing the tray and removing the little black rubber tube. To test that it has totally defrosted pour coke down the drain inside the fridge with the tray back in, this should filter into the tray. Clean the tray again and insert black rubber tube and tighten screws again, job done.
I had the same problem but it was all sorted within 16 hours as it defrosts quickly.

Refrigerator has water leak

Had the same problem with mine. Got a technician to have a look. Inside the fridge at the back there's an overflow tray. CHeck if this is not blocked. Clear it by putting a tray behind your fridge under the overlfow pipe and pour hot water through the overflow tray inside the fridge. Sometimes food gets stuck in there and nobody thinks to clear this out. Mine was easily unblocked and now its stopped leaking.
